What is the workshop?
It’s a one day workshop where l’ll show you how to create your very own website. It’s a workshop, not an online course so we’ll actually be in the same room together.
It’s interactive, so you’ll be creating your very own website with my help but there will no coding required. This workshop is hands-on and you’ll be following along with me. You’ll finish the course with a website that is live on the worldwide web.
Who this workshop is for
This workshop is for anyone who wants to create their own website and/or blog. No coding knowledge is required, we won’t be needing that and no prior website building experience is needed.
You just need to have a reasonable working knowledge of using a computer and the internet.
What you will learn
I will show you that you don’t need to pay a Web Designer thousands of pounds to create a website for you, with the right know-how, you can do it yourself! It’s easy and I’ll show you how.
We’ll be using WordPress to build your website so we’ll spend the day together learning how it works and I’ll teach you everything you need to know.
WordPress is the most popular website software in the world, and nearly a third of the websites on the world wide web are now powered by WordPress.
What you will need to bring
This is an interactive workshop so you’ll just need to bring a laptop that can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi.
It’s a good idea to also bring a pen and pad so you can make notes throughout the day.
What you will acheive
You will learn the skills you need to create and manage your own website. I will actually show you how to create a website during the workshop and you can follow along. You will leave the workshop with a website you have created and the skills needed to manage your website going forward.
